Our Commitment

Sakrebailu Elephant Camp, operated online by Bhadra Tiger Conservation Foundation under the Karnataka Forest Department, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you book tickets, donate, or apply to adopt an elephant, and how we use and protect it.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to provide our services:

• Contact details — name, phone number, email, and address you provide when booking, donating, or adopting.
• Transaction details — booking, donation, or adoption records and the payment reference for each.
• Optional supporter photo & display name — only if you choose to be featured on our supporters board.
• Technical data — basic, non-identifying information your browser sends (such as device type) to keep the site working.

Payment Information

Online payments are processed by a secure, PCI-compliant third-party payment gateway. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials. We retain only the transaction reference needed to confirm your payment and issue your ticket, receipt, or certificate.

How We Use Your Information

• To confirm and deliver your booking, donation receipt, or adoption certificate.
• To send transactional SMS and email about your booking, donation, or adoption.
• To display your name (and photo, if you opted in) on the public supporters board.
• To verify entry at the camp gate via your ticket QR code.
• To meet record-keeping and reporting requirements of the Karnataka Forest Department.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with: our payment gateway (to process payments), our SMS and email providers (to send confirmations), and the Karnataka Forest Department (as the governing authority). We may disclose information if required by law or a valid government request.

Supporters Board & Your Choices

Appearing on the supporters board is optional — you can untick the consent box on the donation or adoption form to keep your contribution private. To update or remove your details, or to request a copy of the information we hold about you, contact the camp office and we will action your request within a reasonable time.

Security & Retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Transactional records may be retained for audit and government reporting.
